Platinum Builders can reduce your buildings energy usage and save you money. Each Deep Energy Retrofit is building specific, but the following techniques may be used:

Insulate the slab, foundation walls, other existing walls, floors, ceiling, or roof with spray foam insulation and a vapor barrier.

  • Seal all doors, windows and gaps in the structure for moisture protection.
  • Install a “cool roof” – a white roof to reflect sun and reduce heat gain.
  • Replace doors and windows with assess glazing design for sun exposure
  • Replace thermostats
  • Install more efficient HVAC equipment
  • Increase insulation around hot water pipes and heater
